FAQs

The frame

What size is the Hades V2?

The Hades V2 is a 5-inch freestyle frame. It has a 220mm wheelbase, 6.66mm arms, and supports a 30×30mm or 20×20mm stack. It fits most standard 5-inch builds.

What motors fit the Hades V2?

The Hades V2 uses a standard 16×16mm motor mount pattern, compatible with the vast majority of 2306–2407 freestyle motors on the market.

What camera sizes does it support?

The Hades V2 supports full-size (28mm) and micro (19mm) FPV cameras with an adjustable tilt range of 0–60°.

What material are the frames made from?

All Odyssey Aerials frames are cut from aerospace-grade 3K carbon fibre. Arms are 6.66mm thick. The material is the same spec used in professional racing and freestyle builds worldwide.

What is the difference between Dead Cat and True-X?

True-X places all four arms at equal 90° angles — the classic FPV layout. Dead Cat moves the front arms wider, keeping the props out of the camera’s field of view. Dead Cat is preferred for cinematic flying; True-X is the more common freestyle choice.

Replacement parts

How do I find out which parts fit my build?

Use the Parts Finder on the homepage. Select your Hades model from the dropdown and it will show every compatible arm, plate, and mount currently in stock.

I crashed and broke an arm. What do I need?

Go to the Hades V2 Replacement Arm — a single arm is . Most crashes only break one arm, so you rarely need to replace the whole frame.

Are Hades V1 and V2 parts interchangeable?

No. V1 and V2 have different arm lengths and plate hole patterns. Always use the correct generation of parts for your frame. The Parts Finder will filter by generation automatically.

3D prints & STLs

Are the STL files really free?

Yes. All STL files are free to download and print for personal use. You can find them in the 3D Prints & STLs section of the shop.

What filament should I use?

We recommend TPU 95A for all camera mounts, antenna holders, and any part that takes impact. TPU flexes on crash rather than shattering. For structural brackets that do not take direct impact, PETG or PLA+ work fine.

Can I sell prints made from your STL files?

Personal and club use is fine. Commercial sale of prints made from our STL files requires written permission. Email drones@odysseyaerialsfpv.com to discuss licensing.
